The flexibility of our home care services enable you to live safely and comfortably in the place you know best – your home. From daily or weekly care visits, right through to the dedicated support of a live-in carer, there are plenty of homecare services available, even on a short-term, hour-by-hour basis.

The ultimate goal of home care is to promote independent living that suits you, and your bespoke care plan will reflect your exact needs to ensure that your support is focused entirely around you, with as little or as much support as you need.

What is home help?

Home care is the umbrella term given to care services provided at home on a live-in or visiting basis to promote your independence and quality of life.

We understand that there are times when we all need a little extra support; whether it’s help around the house, personal care, medication or mobility support, your Helping Hands carer is committed to providing support that brings you peace of mind.

Home care from Helping Hands offers the extra support, reassurance, and companionship that may be needed for you to continue living independently at home.

But home care is not only confined to the home. Your chosen carer will support you to get out and about to enjoy your hobbies and interests as you always have. They can even accompany you on holiday or visiting your beloved family and friends, so there really is no compromise to your social activities and lifestyle.

When should I consider help at home?

here is no set time, health condition or diagnosis to consider help at home from a professional home care service provider. It is simply when you feel that you need extra support to carry out everyday tasks and meal preparation or live life the way you want to.

Many people arrange home care initially to help them round the house with light duties such as cleaning, changing the beds, vacuuming, and meal preparation – especially after leaving hospital. They may then increase the number of visits and length of calls they have to assist them with personal care, getting to appointments, and for companionship. This may even develop into 24-hour live-in or overnight care.

Home care can be sought for anyone over the age of 18 all the way up to 100 and beyond, and we can also provide care to support with specific conditions – such as industry-accredited dementia care. By choosing care at home, you are also choosing to stay in the environment you know and love, instead of moving into local care homes.
